A Teardrop.

A Teardrop.

A Poem by Lover of loveliness
"

Written with much love to my mum at a difficult time when my late dad was very ill.

"
A teardrop glistens for the one I love.
A thousand words it speaks yet makes no sound.
No other soul could know or feel as this one here,
Nor could such care in any heart be found.

And yet my dear, I know so well it can.
Not here ,that we can see, but still we know.
The tears in Heaven glisten just the same,
as those that we would try to hide below.

How can these words express, but just in part...
The depth of love for you, I pray they will.
And as I pray....then let my mind be sure,
And certain of a deeper love that still....

Grows on ....and will forever be,
Strength for this time and hope for endless day.
May you feel with me the peace we cannot understand.
And share a perfect love that will forever stay.

This poem reminded me of Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, and how she empathizes with all of our sorrows, capturing all of our tears. Happiness and sorrow are equal in inspiration when it comes to the art of poetry. I'm sorry for the loss of your father, and for the difficulty that your mother went through. A spark of light found its way from your heart into your poem, a promise of brighter days to come.

Well done.
