Dreams Within Dreams

Dreams Within Dreams

A Poem by rose with love

When you can find yourself on a razor’s edge you feel like a poor man, like a homeless, no shoes that can lead you somewhere. Than dread starts its play, you feel loss, you can’t see or feel. Than you fall into depression that feels like a black hole. There you realize that you actually have shoes, always had but too afraid to walk with them. You start to feel naked, vulnerable. Your senses come back to life but you can’t use them for anything good only to feel and fear the horror around you. Than somehow, something appears at your door and you decide to take another chance. You feel like it’s a brand new day, your senses begin to watch from the other side of the fence and you realize that  there, among the haters, are still people smiling and no matter how hard can things get you always have to kick yourself in the butt for you are the  only real person who can make a decision, take chances and change.

In a bright day light, bright light

I found myself walking, empty feet.

In the bright cold snow, bright snow

Couldn’t look anywhere else but down,

Couldn’t see anything else but my feet,

Couldn’t hear anything, anything but my breath

Than I could feel on me a bright dress, silk,

Clinging to my body,

I could feel I couldn’t breathe.

In a bright day light, bright light

I found myself warmth

By the tears that I've shed,

I found myself walking into despair,

Being torn apart by invisible hands.

In a bright day light, bright light

I start to see a circle surrounding me,

The ice starts melting,

Voices begin to shoot,

All hell breaks loose.

In a bright night light, dark light

I found myself falling and falling and falling.

I had shoes on my feet

But I didn’t have my bright dress of silk,

But I could see,

I could hear,

I could feel,

I could breathe

A dream within a dream,

A fairytale within a nightmare,

A nightmare within a world

Of light and dark, fighting,

So I found myself falling and falling and

Fall is brushing my senses,

She’s my season of taking chances.

My eyes begin to see the world around me,

My ears begin to hear the voices of a surrounding,

My hands begin to feel the sheets of the bed

I’m lieing,

I can breathe

The dream within a dream

Within a dream within the world of terror

I was fighting, but now

I’m brought to life where I can

See people smiling.
