$2.00 VCR

$2.00 VCR

A Poem by Randy Johnson
"

I bought this VCR at the City of Hope thrift shop in Morristown, Tennessee.

"

I bought a VCR for two dollars at a thrift shop.

It's an older VCR that loads tapes from the top.

It plays tapes well but it won't fast forward or rewind.

But it only cost two bucks, that was a great deal to find.

It was made by JCPenney and probably originally cost five hundred bucks.

Finding a VCR that works at that price was pretty good luck.

It will fast forward but only while a cassette is playing.

I like finding good deals like this, that's what I'm saying.

I'm sick; I missed out on a bargain
A top loadin' VCR
Shucks I would kill for the chance
I'd sell my Castro
cast off cigar

You don't know how lucky you are!
