Deadly Matter Transmitter

Deadly Matter Transmitter

A Poem by Randy Johnson
"

THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.

"

I'm in trouble because I built a Matter Transmitter.

It's caused nothing but pain and everybody is bitter.

People stepped into my transmitter and their atoms were transmitted and reassembled at another location.

I transmitted twenty people and it has become a nightmare, it has caused nothing but devastation.

When the people were transmitted, it somehow scrambled their brains.

They changed completely, the process drove all twenty of them insane.

I shouldn't have built the Matter Transmitter but I thought it would bring me glory.

The people who used it have killed over a hundred people, things have gotten gory.

Time Magazine once called me a genius but I'm actually a fool.

My invention has caused so much disaster and I'm responsible.

I'm in trouble with the law and I'm looking at the death sentence.

I must atone for what I have done, how can I get repentance?

Because of my stupidity, over a hundred people are dead and I'll be joining them.

I wouldn't have built that Matter Transmitter if I'd known it would cause mayhem.
