I'm Happy Because I'm On Death Row

I'm Happy Because I'm On Death Row

A Poem by Randy Johnson
"

THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.

"

I killed two people seven years ago.
I'm happy because I'm on Death Row.

I'm happy because I can no longer live with what I did.

I killed a married couple and ruined the lives of their kids.

Most Death Row inmates want the Governor to call.

But I don't want that to happen, I don't want that at all.

The guilt is killing me and every single day, it makes me cry.

But I also have peace of mind because tonight is when I'll die.

If I had it to do over, I swear that I wouldn't do what I did before.

Now my pain will end because the guilt can't torment me anymore.
