You Decided To Shun Me

You Decided To Shun Me

A Poem by Randy Johnson

When I asked you out, you decided to shun me.

You rejected me because I don't have a lot of money.

Instead of going by what a man has in his heart, you go by what he has in his bank account.

You've turned down many men because when it comes to money, they don't have a large amount.

A man who will love you for better or worse is all that you need.

But you want to live in the lap of luxury because of your greed.

I've met a lot of women like you and you and they may end up being old maids.

You've been looking for a rich man so long that your looks are starting to fade.

You'd better learn that what a man has in his heart is what is most important of all.

But you think that you can have a wealthy man and now when I look at you, I'm appalled.
