Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast

A Poem by Randy Johnson

He is deformed but she doesn't care in the least.
When it comes to them, it's beauty and the beast.
Everybody calls him a monster and it's so unfair.
He doesn't even look human but she doesn't care.
People hate him because he's different and it's a shame.
Everybody is frightened of him and they curse his name.
But he is the love of his girlfriend's life.
She wants to find a preacher who will agree to marry them because she wants to be his wife.
He is deformed but he is a wonderful person on the inside.
She sees past his deformity and she intends to be his bride.
She can see what everybody else should've seen from the start.
Outer beauty is unimportant, what matters is what's in the heart.
