My favorite lie

My favorite lie

A Poem by Michal Adams

... idk

I wrapped her in my arms
and whispered in her ear,
"You are so beautiful."
It was a lie that I could bear.

Not that she wasn't beautiful,
just that she was so much more than that
and a word to accurately describe her doesn't exist,
and if you knew her, you'd know one can't.

The first thing one notices,
upon meeting such a girl,
is her unheard of beauty
From her feet up to her curls.

The next thing one notices,
which is very appearent,
is her unbelievable personality,
of which is of the highest quality.

So, to call her beautiful,
is an understatement and a lie,
but it will be my favorite lie,
untill the day that I die.
