Life Lesson

Life Lesson

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Naive reveries scrutinized by ill conception

Swept up in hypocrisy and holier than thou attitudes

Alienate love and respect…

         …sympathy and harmony…

         …hope and friendship…

Hostilities for your brother man or sister woman

For silly differences in ideologies…

          …race or height…

          …weight or social class…

Sentences mind, body and soul to misery

Superbly said. The soul grows only with love and compassion. Working on it myself...

I wish there were more compassion in the world...to accept our differences and embrace it, for it gives color to our lives. ...otherwise, it would be a mundane world.
