Cold

Cold

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

As dusk poured its ink a chill took the bodies, minds and souls of those below

Whispers circled cracked and swollen lips, but only to fall on deaf ears

Many describe hell as a place of eternal hellfire; an abode of the damned

They never stop to think of possible variations and degrees; dimensions and worlds

The truth is hell can present itself in any form

There are no limitations, certainties or fixed scenarios

Sometimes it’s what you make it

Other times it what other inflict upon you
