Red

Red

A Poem by Madison

All I see is red.
All I hear is the ferocious pounding of my heart in my ears.

Rage is a tricky thing,
If you’re not careful,
You’ll explode.

Red is all I see when I’m angry,
My patience is slipping,
The hold I have on my control,
I blink, and that’s gone, too.

You’ll know when I’m angry,
So be careful,
The biting of my tongue,
That’s disappearing, too.

‘Cause all I see,
Is red. Just red.

Author's Note

Madison
I almost went ballistic earlier over something so stupid, because I was already on edge. Today is not the day to push me. The only thing that kept me from going off, was the conversations that I knew would be had, after I said what I wanted to say.
