Out of Sight

A poem about my current life and affairs.

You’re hiding secrets from me,

They are locked away somewhere,

You have thrown away the key.

I don’t know where’s gone,

But it reads ‘’family.’’

It’s been missing for three years now.

I can’t find it,

It’s bothering me.

It’s out of sight,

Where could it be?

All I hear is lawyers, debt, divorce and such.

Don’t you think it’s a bit too much?

I’m trying to live without a thought,

But now your love is bought.

All I hear is about selling the house,

And all inside.

But who’s right was it to divide?

Don’t you care about family?

Don’t you see how this is effecting me?

All I hear from the other room is a marriage’s certain doom.

All I hear is custody of children and houses for sale.

I do not hear anything about what I need.

I don’t want much,

I just want to leave.

They’re always taking about selling the house,

Nothing about anything else.

Why can’t they focus on family?

Instead of all the stupid greed.

What happened to the family of four,

I guess that life walked out the door.

I don’t know what to do.

All I know Daddy, is I don’t want to live with you.
