What He Thought.

What He Thought.

A Poem by Raymond Federle
"

For Mark... (Samuel Clemens)

"

A wanderer lingers in eternity's delight, fermented in emotional abandonment.

He ponders on the elements of his existence.

Interesting he thinks, how the Morning laughs,

free from the chains of night.

How the Sun holds court on the virtues of sorrow

and rains while shining.

He wonders if the Night dwells on the Sun's abandonment of the day.

The Moon he knows, shines down proudly.

It's pale luminescence and dares him to  further contemplate himself.

He knows Heaven suffers the nights agony and reflects the darkening sorrow of twilight.

The Ocean of Life laughs in liquid delight at so small a person placed in its fathoms and hugs him in the bosom of it's depths.
