Alone

Alone

A Poem by Rebecca

I know what it’s like to be alone,

Afraid, weak, broken,

Looking into the dark,

It’s all you see,

No light to guide you,

Nobody’s here,

All alone.

I know what it’s like to be saved,

In love cared for, to feel pretty,

Saved by the one you love,

Not stopping to think,

Farther and farther,

Not wanting to stop.

I also know what it’s like to be hurt,

Alone, Hurting, Bleeding,

Lied to with promises broken,

Left by the one you love,

The one who you thought loved you,

It gets deeper and deeper everytime,

Not knowing how to stop

Finally there's nothing left to stop,

The blood is there, so are you,

You’re not dead but you might as well be,

Looking into your fathers crying eyes,

Sorry, scared, dying.

Wanting to be like everyone else.
