Stones

Stones

A Poem by RLArthur

If ever you'd tasted forbidden fruit perhaps your argument would be moot
On a pedestal of righteousness you sit
Passing judgement like it's yours to give when you haven't even lived
Some doors once opened can't be closed and a heart that's given can't be stole
Don't ask me how this came to be, I thought once when I was small love conquered all
Now I know that tale is tall
How the mighty fall
I know full well the crime I commit and my guilt I freely admit
So pick up your stones, cast them throw

This hits home in many ways a very good write. Reminds me how I left what I should never have. Great job.
