Broken

Broken

A Poem by Rebecca Wada
"

Once we are tainted, we try our best not to taint others but we just can't help it sometimes.

"
I'm drunk almost every fucing night
Trying to drown your voice out
You took me high and let me crash down
Now when you see me you smile a sad smile
And walk by like you do not know me
I was never like this
I was pretty till you broke me
Now I do not even recognize myself
You don't too but that's the price I had to pay for loving you

Now i am broken
Now we are one and the same out in the world to break the unbroken

Before I let you in I warned you I was not worth loving but you thought you could change me so I let you try and now you blame me cause my darkness cancelled out your light
You had a vivid picture of this was going to play out but yet I saw the look of excitement in your eyes a broke toy for you to fix I just smiled cause there was no stopping you
But now I am the villain and you the victim cause I couldn't be changed I guess that's what you get for loving me

Now you are broken
Now we are one and the same out in the world to break the unbroken
