A girl With Dreams

A girl With Dreams

A Poem by RedCherry

A girl with dreams and a monster with schemes

I used to dream of a prince charming
and a monster was what I got
I remember the words on the bathroom wall
And your whispers on the call
I remember how you shamed my body
And how you blamed everything on me
I was just a girl with dreams
And you were a monster disguised as a man
I remember the moment you made me your own
And how lone I was afterwards
I was just a girl with dreams
And you were a monster with schemes
My old self is dead
And the pieces are spread
I was of very young age
and you put me in a cage
I never needed another broken body
And I never needed another token of sorry
Afterall I was just a girl with dreams
And you were a monster with schemes
