a woman at a ball, whose intent is less than honorable

a woman at a ball, whose intent is less than honorable

A Poem by J. Randall Dodd

diaphanous silk blushes red

against her tight bodice

and flows along sleek, ivory arms.

her charms diffuse aether-

airy seduction.

fair maiden?

her movement draws center the room

with her enticing saunter.

stares drip

from panting eyes.  attention titillates-

purposeful giggles and smiles,

her womanly wiles.

suitors rush to pleasure

with increased pressure,

and hushed, erotic, salacious susurrus.

her face a veil-

hidden lies behind lust-filled eyes.

fair maiden?

          no, slattern! maidenhead long departed.
