sirène

sirène

A Poem by J. Randall Dodd

o sirène!  ne'er- no, ne'er free me from

     thy gyred gaze.

pleasure pulls with abounding gravitation.

thy amorous parfums titillate

     my weak, man's heart.

i long for thee, green eyed temptress!  a longing

unlike usual longing brings me momentary

lapse of lust, but thy seductive

fingers brush logic from my brow.

thine ungodly, tender, wet lips part

mine; i feed from thee, i drink from thee,

     i live for thee.

o sirène!  ne'er- no, ne'er free me from

     thy gyred gaze!
