Lessons of Lyfe

Lessons of Lyfe

A Poem by Reeses
"

What I must learn to move on...

"

My love died when she passed away…

It pretended to find eternal sleep yet found me the next day

I suffered immensely

No comfort to fence me

Thinking, maybe mi emotions didn’t fall free and die…

It just slept as we left her body to lie

These are lessons of lyfe…

That I must learn to sacrifice

My lust collapsed when my success wouldn’t emerge

It acted as an eagle and indeed it did purge

It’s a shame I live and learn through loss

But how house is it determined how much pain costs?

I accuse others of being too ashamed to move on because of their past

Yet, I never stop to give the present a chance

My mental system is strong enough to self-construct and answer any questions I may ask

But I don’t follow directions well and a hard head has always made a soft azz

The things that haunt me are what I must sacrifice and let go…

I can hardly give up what I’ve grown to know…

I’m playing with fire and I’m getting mad

The brutality of the Jesuit school system is morally sad

The price of vehicles is as much as buying a house and the cost can’t be masked

And I can’t accomplish a simple task

This is my observation of what emotions I must escape in Lyfe

Learning each lesson and winning this fight…
