Fear of Me

Fear of Me

A Poem by Heather Phelps

Death to those we love and lost

Death to all living things

Death to you and me.

Why is there so much

running through my head?

Life and death, death and life

What's the difference

In the two?

I am in hell

One way or another

Why should I care

Whether I live or die?

Whether I win or lose?

I should just give up

Give up and move on

Away from this hate.

This world full of hatred

The hatred that strikes fear

Into every living thing.

Fear of me

Fear of my reputation

I shall go

I shall move on.
