Why?

Why?

A Poem by Heather Phelps
"

Needed to get this off my chest and it still haunts my thoughts maybe some of it will go away now that I've posted it...

"

They never had a chance

They never got through

when they make it

it's only to be squashed like bugs

bugs under our feet

what is the reason for this

does God even know why?

Why do some children never make it?

The loss of a child

It tears you apart inside

no matter whether

they were ever born or not

years later it hits you

and hits you hard

why?

why must the pain

the pain for the unborn

hurt even years later?

why do some people

choose to kill the unborn?

why do they take for granted

what others would die to have?

Most never feel regret for their

actions

It kills me to see those

people take for granted

the one thing that is more

more precious than our

own lives.

Why?

No one will ever know

know the answer

to the most complex

questions of life.

Why? Why? Why?

I think the answer is simple. Some people have yet to live enough and see enough in life to have the emotional perspective in order to understand what they are doing and how it will effect them later in life.
I'm no stranger to loss, having lost one of my children at 2 and half months. So I can relate to what this piece brings across emotionally.

Thanks for writing!
Aaron
