I'd Rather

I'd Rather

A Poem by Remi D
"

your either with me or you may need to re-evaluate your idealisms.

"
I'd rather sell my soul
to rock and roll
than offer it
open handed,
as a co-operative mole
for the head mogul
that wants my freedom
reprimanded.

I'd rather dance beneath
the dazzling stars
than in the bars
created,
and sing my song
in the golden dawn
than on a stage
situated.

I'd rather swim in seas
higher than my knees
not in slews
dug for the cattle,
and to get around
instead of oil bound
I'd opt out for a saddle.

I'd rather use the herbs
found in the woods
than accept the hoods
medication,
properly digest
get plenty of rest
in the very heart
of vegetation.

I'd rather love so deep
and always keep
my passion
for the endeavour,
not cunningly speak
to woman meek
promising loyalty
forever.

I'd rather it be yours
than call it mine
no beggar should feel
beneath me,
better to eat at home
than on the roam
and share dinner
with our needy.

I'd rather help my neighbour
than sweat in labour
to pay a debt that's set
in fiction,
I'd rather make for us
than be in a rush
to aide the "banks"
addiction.

Great piece of work, idols are killing the human race, especially money, I agree
with your discretion at the top, thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
