FINAL DESTINATION

FINAL DESTINATION

A Poem by Rene Velez

There was
a long pause...
between
words,
the unease
of nerves
and a dream
of black sheep
being,
gathered in herds,

I still couldn't
figure out
What the hell
it was about
with those
singing birds
without
sound,
the moon
in a frown,
a thin sheet
of
Galactic stars
Just
lying
on the ground
Like
frozen fireflies

or
the distant
Trumpet
so near like
ringing in the ears
that brought
tears to the eyes
and released
souls
no longer
held
Behind bars,

yet
some rushed
to work
and drove
in cars
with no
thought
to it all,
who
couldn't hear
the call
of a
final
destination.

A amazing poem old friend. The final destination is a goal reached leading to another place? Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
