The Sinner's Prayer

The Sinner's Prayer

A Poem by ReniRee
"

I was born a sinner. Sad to say, I was not raised otherwise. I find so little remorse in succumbing to my guilty pleasures.

"

I wake up and my eyes are sore.

I find myself wondering what I'm waking up for.

Since day one in this life I knew i'd never be the victor.

I was played, bamboozled, now I cant take anymore.

I live outside of myself, watching me make these stupid mistakes over and over again.

I feel like I'm sleepin but this dream has no end.

Wake me up God, please open my eyes!!

Help me out God, before the last bit of hope in me dies!!!

I'm standin on the edge, so ready to leap!!!

How the hell do I wake up??? GET ME OUT OF THIS SLEEP!!!

I need to open my eyes....look at something new.

I need to be conscience for a moment better yet maybe two.

I'll give you my life, until the count of ten

One Two Three Four FiVe...oh yeah... Amen
