Death

Death

A Poem by Repatemsu

I am sorry but I still cannot take you well

The thought of forever still haunts me bad

I know we will met one day soon at the tail,

at the close of my days , spare me your wrath

but i still dread you so bad, my dear death.

And some may be willing to take you sooner

for an incentive they fell suited at their expense

like a mother to a child who will receive you better

to give life to her child , her love is immense

but i still dread you so bad, my dear death

tell me the stories of those who were willing

to welcome you without any hesitation

who befriended you, who responded your calling

who rather took you as an opportunity of liberation

to free themselves from the chronic that killed then before death.

I saw some people dying before your welcoming dirge

but i am alive and i am still living with my mellow faith

i pray we met when we both feel mutual

as of now spare me your song, i’ll be singing another.
