We're All Alright

We're All Alright

A Poem by Timothy Ryan

The man drinking at home by himself

Dreams turned into plans

The young, giving up on life

Too much pain to go on

The w***e at the bar

Lonely with lack of love

The lonely young widow

Too heartbroken to love

The full time employee

Too broke to afford college

The intelligent

Bowing down to the morons

The pregnant waitress

Just trying to make a living

The content

Smiling to hold back the tears

The most beautiful things

Aren't always pretty to see
