The City

The City

A Poem by Michelle Rowe
"

A poem I wrote back in 2003 after thinking about what a description of a big city look like.

"
The pulse of the city probes vehemently,
Seizing the hearts of the enamored
Quickening steps caress
the swollen masses huddled tightly

Jewels of glitter grace the horizon
dazzling a million eyes.
The clamor quivers throughout
masquerading as a thunderous roar.

The far reaching vision embodies darkness and moonlight vaporizing into one.
Hushes are over powered by vibrant levels of eruption.

The fragrance of the city prevails and implicates us in the plot--------
to embrace incessantly its nucleus.
