At the water's edgeA Poem by Ressia Emie
I stood there at the water's edge,
Waiting, hoping, that maybe these calm waves would wash away all the hate that I carried in me, I hated myself for being too weak, too fragile, So I stand here, waiting for a miracle but the thing about miracles are that, Sometimes when you need it the most, It tends to slip away, Perhaps the waves have them, Yes, maybe the waves can was over me, cure me from this putrid mess I am, So I shall wait here at the water's edge, for the waves to bring me a miracle. © 2018 Ressia EmieAuthor's Note
