UNBOUNDED LOVE

UNBOUNDED LOVE

A Poem by Dreamer

Realizing the situation, a tear slid from her eye

With a heavy heart and helpless mind, she let out a low sigh.

She loved him more than the world would be a wrong thing to say

Because for her, he was the only world she knew, per se!

The only thing she yearned for, was to be by his side all the while

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him lovingly smile.

The smile, which had all the love, the care and respect he had for her

The serene and selfless love that he always pleasingly showered.

Being together, however, was not an easy task

For the world she had to put on a pseudo impassive mask.

A mask that would help her hide the truth, to deceive the rest

She tried everything that she could and did her very best.

Because loving someone from an enemy country comes with its share of troubles

The magic of love can never be understood by the inhumane world of muggles.

However, today her heart had given up.It did not want to respond

It wanted the world to know about whom she was so very fond.

But, just when love seemed to conquer, his body succumbed to defeat in the mighty war

While the country celebrated victory, he was the martyr she silently cried for!

Their love knew no boundaries, but 'fate' was the villain here

Forced them to stay so far even when they were infinitesimally near.

That was a nice read. I enjoy reading rhymed poetry..not an easy style to achieve..

I found only one line that seemed misplaced..

The magic of love can never be understood by the inhumane world of muggles.

It makes me question..are we writing about a real world love/relationship or a fantasy world..

Do keep writing..you have a very nice ability
