Vertigo

Vertigo

A Poem by Katie Richards

Something feels so wrong; vertigo

Yet

I guarantee to succumb
With each subtle tone of your voice
Your grace; your demeanor; your desire
Must I always respond to their contemptible claims?
My heart would innocently perish
Hence lay the ashes on the aisle
Disregard
All that is said
Dismantle
The iron accusations abruptly laid
(Come with me……)
I can sense the calling in my lungs….
It     calms    my     breathing
Insecurities navigate to distant lands
You and I sail on
And leave our fears
Destination?
In our minds only…
