Sigh....

the distance though small and simple

tears me apart step by step

i reach out to you 

burning bright with hope and youthful dreams 

but you in your bubble far from my world 

look down, mocking, sending along with your ignorance 

your heartache, tears and frustrations 

which i seem to lodge unto as my own insecurities 

bring me further, pushing me deeper, causing me to feel contempt

yes contempt and anger

i ask not for the riches or the time unparallel 

but if only in my dreams to spend that time 

to let us bask in the drunkenness of our affection

to be giddy from the intensity of reaction 

to look and see not the sparkles that hide within rose coloured glasses 

but the truth

 the true me and the true you.....

so in growth we can shine 

and in shining we can be the wisdom 

so if we part, we do so enjoying that time

those few minutes in the day's hour
