Dandelion

Dandelion

A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey
"

Freeverse

"
In the field of life
I was the perfect
Dandelion
Until the winds
Of change
Blew my mind
And
Scattered me
Here, there
Everywhere
To and fro
Who knows
Where I may go
After the wind blows
My perfectly shaped
Afro

Stepping a little bit out of my comfort zone with this as I am experimenting with length and slight humor at the end. I am trying this out because this used by a lot of writers here in the cafe.

Nice job Rico! Probably one of the lightest pieces I have ever read from you. I like how short it is and outside of your style. It's perfect. Talk about progression! Aren't you glad we found this place?

i smiled at the end...and i think this really works...but i am always a proponent of "less is more"

tightly wound poems pack a punch.

this poem is not scattered at all, even if the speaker feels he is.
