A Poem by Jerome F Knox III pseudonym Nefarious J. Dorsey

In the grocery store

On milk cartons
Across
Cluttered
Babysitting ads
Yard Sales
Garage sales
Wares for sale
On strips of paper
Or index cards
Hidden under
The handyman's
Plea for work
Selling his wares
As children
Disappear there
Too

Innocence plucked from
The fields of life
Way before they matured
Still immature a bit
Not quite ripe

Post Office

Between the copier machine
And the work station facing
East ward with a western twist
And a southern drawl
I saw 10 of the most wanted outlaws
Before me with wanted dead or alive
Bounties on each.

Ideologies
False theologies
Cyber technologies
Crimes of garden varieties

Light poles

They holds pics
Of innocent souls
Exploited and missing
As families are left
Wishing they
Just come home

TV

The cold files
Take you back
As the cold facts
Of Law and Order
John Walsh
On the case
As Cops give
Chase
Cause a tip
Helped closed
A case
But can't
Erase
The faces
Of many
It just can't be
Avoided
The missing
And the exploited

Light pole 2

Big concert
In a few days
As the poster
Of Tiffany
Is in the way
He tears it
Down
It hits the ground
Not realizing
He's victimizing
Her again
As her flyer
Dangles in the wind

Internet

Dark net
The target
Young flesh
Tasting
The curiosity
Of latch key kids
As secret bids
Have them
Raped and
Video taped
Later to perform
Porn
Wishing they
Were never born

Bus stations

A hub of humanity
Waiting on steel
Chariots to take
Them anywhere
From where they
Have come from
Forced to be
gladiators
Fighting
drug addictions
Sexual afflictions
Various other infliction
Strays who runaway
Are campaign posters
Who in the end win
Nothing
As their flyers
Dangle in the wind
As their stories
Come to an end
The expiration date
On their lives
Has just expired
It is too late?

TV 2

Press conferences
Held
Families
Pleading
Hearts needing
Closure
Hoping that media
Exposure
Would help solve
Their cases
by showing their
Loved one's faces
Hoping that will
Bring them back
Soon

life is full of posters, reminders to the finders of loved ones, or of the evil ones---the faces put in places, many places...hoping to bring them back.
this was a bit long for my taste, but cleverly put together.
