What If The Capitol Rioters Were Black Part II

What If The Capitol Rioters Were Black Part II

If The Capitol Rioters Were Black Part II

The insurgence failed to leave

Everyone in a eupeptic state

Because their hate only demonstrates

That I need to pontificate

On this further,

Because if the

Capitol Rioters Were Black

They would have murdered

Us all at will

Still, the riots on Capitol Hill

Pushes the idea of equality

Even farther back

As they didn’t overreact

Because the rioters were

White and not Black

As the value they placed

On White Supremist and Extremist

Lives is how and why

Many of them were able to survive

With minimal casualties

Because many of the criminals

Weren’t minorities

As BLM is treated with

Brute force and of course with

More brutality because

The reality of this fallacy is

That laws remain unjust for minorities

Because the totality of the circumstances

At hand makes you understand

Why we are not free in this country

It remains a fact

That Blacks Lives Never

Did Matter or Does Matter

As the racist chatter

Still rings from hamlet to hamlet

Across ever sea and

Up every mountain peak

As my country tis of thee

Will never be sung by minorities

As authorities make sure

That the cries are forever ignored

Yes, this poem presents a very sad truth....we are a long, long way from where we need to be.
We have to look into ourselves and ask why.
We all matter no matter what color we are.
Every individual is just as important as another...
we are all pieces of the puzzle that when put together is the world.
