Sibyl Vane

Sibyl Vane

A Poem by D. Gosa
"

"Each of us has heaven and hell in him." -Line from Oscar WIlde's A Picture Of Dorian Gray

"
Did you fall from the stage of innocence?

Or did you rise from a past repentance?

Riding the coattails of a doomed soceity

Illusions and hedonism, our propreity

All is hell but the sex is heavenly

New fixes given so reverently

God loves the wicked, he smites the boring

Ready to dance in that dress so adoring?

A picture of me hangs in these halls again

You should be my Sibyl Vane
take my hand
