A Poem by D. Gosa
"

randomness

"
In  the shade stood tremulous and tender
like a dying crow who caws in prose
a liar, a lover, a long-lost lady of ill repute
begging for the end to come
but it's not the end
Never the end

In the sun sat dreary but awoken
a goddess's child, awitchly gal
who dablles in her work of wonders, her love spell spilt
praying for a gentleman
but no gentleman comes
no gentleman

In a backalley a teen lies dying
the needle buried like a childhood moment repressed
he was a son, a boyfriend, a Little League all-star
asking to see the angels
but the angels are gone
no angels
none

The more we want the less we get
Either take a bite out of life or get bit
Demons drive the show so take a ride
Dream the dreams that pacify
Yesterday's children  scold today's b******s
Be the slaves or reign as masters
Eat the fruit or stay in Eden
Amidst the brainwashed or among the heathens
Ride Boldy Ride, that cunning Shade once replied
Seek out your own El Dorado
