breathing still...

breathing still...

my house of haiku and senryu I

1
i must set sights high
do something good and useful
to challenge my wit

2
learn from my journey
vast array of free choices
waste time ~ am a loser

3
directed actions
done with meaningful purpose
overcome all doubts

4
show lack of effort
it is contagious like a plague
causes plans' breakdown

5
besides inspired soul
motivation must prevail
courage and candor

6
my deepest yearning
allow deepest fulfillment
to remember roots

7
the beauty of life
is by living it the most
and the time is now

8
it's fine to make plans
if they are done through effort
be ready for change

9
give life to pleasure
where happiness is waiting
solemn place of peace

10
don't fear sacrifice
to see real essence of joy
dreams can be fulfilled

11
the value of life
where experience breathes richness
be gentle with heart

12
contentment is pure
what i aspire to become
meekness is virtuous

13
rise above the rest
focus on what is offered
don't go against truth

14
if needs diminish
stand toe and remain humble
conscience clears itself

15
make peace with myself
liberate ~ let go worries
it's my own making

16
effort will push me
in this unforgiving world
there's more to traverse

17
don't act out of need
shows position of weakness
things will be better

18
no one will stop me
have my own cross to carry
if i fall, i fall

19
freedom to achieve
what the future hold in store
give me chance to prove

20
life limits itself
in some stages of the journey
not to prolong pain

21
no matter what's done
unique chances resonate
to bring them to light

22
thoughts and live action
along with my commitment
will make difference

23
follow where fate leads
take useful valuable tools
to reach peak's plateau

24
difficulties comes
meet them fair and square, heads on
hesitate never

25
proves true in this world
the things that are beyond reach
most coveted prize

aloha!

Aloha...Talofa, Rey...surf good, brah? I hope all is well my friend. My salute to you kind, Sir.

'rise above the rest

Beautiful, as always.

Where do old soldiers die? They just die...clowns who cowardly parade in their chicken hawk stance...Sir, Thank you always for believing in me, always...Please, tell the others that I have never dishonored their belief in me...its always Love.

Hello.... Jumping and down with joy here! I might just have to get up on Jeri's table and cheer!!

Oh I wish they hadn't taken the little gift thingo away here otherwise I would have sent you a coffee!!

I commented briefly on the forum thread about these wonderful haikus, but wish to add I loved the optomistic feel and insight of each one penned so eloquently Rey. A fabulous write!

I especially liked the first one.
