I guess that I was wrong

I guess that I was wrong

A Poem by Rion

After everything we’ve been through,

After all of this time,

I thought you would’ve handled it,

I thought that you could cope…

After all of these years,

Of pain and agony,

I thought that you would be alright,

But I guess that I was wrong…

To cry each and every night,

The tears that never cease,

To be unable to handle the next day,

I guess that I was wrong…

To scream, to fight, to block the world out,

The fury that never ceased,

To hate every living thing,

I guess that I was wrong…

To flee, to hide, to run away,

The anguish that never ceased,

To want to stop living, then and there,

I guess that I was wrong…

After everything we’ve been through,

After pain and agony,

I thought you could handle it,

I guess that I was wrong…

I’m sorry.
