LIFE

LIFE

A Poem by SJ Mullins

Life can turn on a dime

We are never promised time

There is no way for us to gauge

whether we’ll live to a ripe old age

Drink greedily from life’s cup

So that when your time is up

You can die with no regrets

Leaving no emotional debts

You can say you’ve lived a good life

And made it through its joy and strife

Your work on earth is finally done

Now listen to your Father say, “well done.”
