BRAND NEW BEGINNINGA Poem by SJ MullinsI've often been the butt of other's jokes. This poem stems from that. She hangs her head Hair in her face Wishing she was dead Feeling out of place. She shuffles along Looking at the ground Will she ever belong Without feeling bound? A low self-esteem Haunts her everyday In her daydream She’s often asked to play. Instead, she walks alone Slow and aimlessly No friends to call her own Kids taunt her shamelessly. The next day is the same: She hangs her head Hair in her face Wishing she was dead Feeling out of place All she needs Is just one friend To plant the seeds Showing her it isn’t the end… But a brand new beginning!~ © 2016 Suzanna Jayne Mullins © 2016 SJ MullinsReviews
