Darkness vs. Light

The angels and demons battle for my soul
I just want to be happy, I want to be whole
I’m tired of the darkness, I want to be free
Free to be the woman I am destined to be

An angel came into my life, one I can touch
The little things he does just mean so much
God sent him to me because I was sinking fast
Perhaps I will be set free now, free at last!

This angel always has a smile on his face
He has most certainly been my saving grace
With strong arms he lifts me from the pit of despair
And has told me so often I don’t belong there

A much better world this angel’s shown me
He works most diligently to help me see
That life can be good, and I can be free
Free to be the woman I am destined to be
