River

River

A Poem by Rob Funk

Can you hear my heart rattle,

That's what the snake does,

When he prepares for battle,

Looking around,

However this may sound,

Many people treat us like cattle,

It should come as no surprise,

She looked in my eyes,

She and I we would fly,

And often times,

We would cry,

The image of her,

Well it makes my heart fry,

Walking by this river,

I really do think,

Why am I,

Such a forgiver.

A forgiver in the river of love flowing and even gushing forth with beauty...Marvelous...:)

A combination of three totally opposite scenes... still trying to get the whole scene, though enjoyed reading your poem! :)
