The Real Friend

The Real Friend

A Poem by Robert Cohen

The Real Friend

Rita Spear

The real friend is someone who has a willing spirit, and a great heart. Someone in which you can confide in and not have to worry about it going any further than the two of you. It’s the great feeling of knowing you can brighten this person’s day with a smile or an encouraging word. I want you know I’m the real friend and no matter what happens I’ll be there for you. You never have to hesitate to talk to me, I love our friendship, but I’ve grown to love the person you are more.
