Night WalkA Poem by RogueHIt was a lonely night, with my eyes tight. I felt uneasy at midnight, opened window to look at the beautiful moonlight. A walk alone, in the cool breeze, makes one alive, from deep within. Looked at the clock, asked to stop for a while. I was going out, to trace some mile. The trees looked beautiful, leaves danced with the wind. Path lit by the heavenly body, destination seemed to be pinned. Don’t remember the distance travelled, a river appeared from nowhere. Don’t remember this from the map, yet was a beautiful sight which was rare. Heard some footsteps from behind, a beautiful figure, wearing a gown made of moonlight. Wind trying to play with her hair, her face could capture everyones sight. She reached beside me, and smiled a bit. Walking alone now, didn’t looked so fit. Passed many bridges, as we walked together. Still can’t remember them in map, but what could be better. We talked, we shared. Less with words, more when our eyes met. We walked down the road, with the heartbeats synchronised. The thumping raised, when she said her house was nearby. We slowly reached to the fate, and it seemed like a movie. The trees there was dead, and scene looked dreary. She pointed to a house, whose bricks looked sick. The moonlight couldn’t reach there, and the winds seemed to sink. I live there, but you can’t come here alone she said. The old gate cranked, and an eery sound it made. My heart felt heavy, I fell to the ground. That was the last thing I remember, before waking to my alarm sound. I was in bed, relieved to see the dawn. It was just a dream, for a time bound. Reached to the alarm, to turn if off. Found a letter, just beneath the clock. A fear struck, and I could hear my heartbeat aloud. The letter read - Will you come again today, near the river ground. © 2016 RogueHAuthor's Note
