Unheard Time - Candle light dinnerA Poem by RogueH
She went out for a couple of minutes,
I got enough time to make her supper. She looked astonished when she entered the door, But i knew she wouldn't be sure. For cooking was never my trade, But looking at that smiling face just removed the sad space. She was a goddess in top and jeans, She had the power of Queen. She smiled when I switched off the lights, Just to light some candles and make her path bright. A table for two was nothing new, But she never fancied that I would do. So this was new and we sat to dine, And then again my alarm rang and all became an unheard time. © 2016 RogueH |
