A Good Thing

A Good Thing

A Poem by Blackwood

my a*s sinking into the worn suede cushion

legs curlled to my side

lamplight bring my skin to gleam

with repose

If I could behold my eyes

so full of enchantment'

at the lives playing out on the screen

the friendship tried, career evaporating

a private wonderland siftted away

the sequence becomes a mystery

leaving only the ugly, thats so damn beautiful.

Its only a movie,

but the tale is true.

I've lived it and the past spurs

tears from the bottom of my broken heart

cut by the up turned corners of my grin,

for these tears from a heart

...still broken

and Im smiling

(im a sick f**k)

And you called

We talked

......Leaving me to wonder if this is a good thing
