Every thirty seconds, beyond

Every thirty seconds, beyond

A Poem by Blackwood

Every thirty seconds or so I look up

At that eternal placid expanse

somehow here and to the furthest forever

So like death

provocative

never lost

ever enchanting

With temptations like no other

Color Beyond my words

The one

Right before sunset

And that glowing Aten

Hovering over singing Apsu what seems

Thirty to eighty feet above the break of the horizon

Lives in truth higher then the furthest Sycamore

the velvety sheen of dark water

A marriage between wine and champagne

And the other thirty second

I look over and find myself back where I never was

Beyond,

my little sailboat,

my pen,

My companion

Bobbing like a cork in the sea of Mnemosyne

Listening to my heart

Melodies linger in the quiet

As dreams of philipines

Crete and Saigon dance in Okinawa

Sylphs fairy me across the cosmos of euphoria

this is the Endless,

this is Tuat, Awnfn, Elysia

welcome to Shangra-la
