THE GAME

Got lost in the business game.

Everybody’s single in the business world.

If you’re weak, feelings unfurled.

A big no, no for the game we play.

But I allowed your facade to make me sway.

 

In this arena of cutthroat ambition,

I chose to forgot manipulation.

I can’t believe I enjoyed being flattered.

My trust is a luxury but you easily shattered.

 

We used to talk about success and gain.

Then, you became indifferent and gave me pain.

Darkness lurked behind your eyes,

As laziness and greed began to rise.

 

You must be confident with your deed.

I guess a lesson that I should heed.

Ventures and opportunities were put on hold.

This became a barrier for my two trips abroad.

 

It’s about time to be the victor of the game.

Of course, you’re not someone to blame.

I’ll just tread with caution, more aware,

Learning from the past with greater care.

 

Witness me shine brighter in my career.

Withdrawing liabilities, dispelling fear.

With optimism, I'll open new doors.

You might never regret but my opportunity still pours.
