Prisms in the Window

Prisms in the Window

A Poem by Anna

I know it’s a lot to ask

But could you love me later

The way you do now--?

Could you hold onto me for me

When I’m not around--?

Just the softness of your

Skin on my skin

Makes me wonder about

Impossible places and

All the ifs and whens.

I know it’s a lot to ask

For you to love me as

The clock spins faster by--

But we have time for nothing

Always except to die.
